Otsuka Techno launches OT-GLOVE, cold-resistant gloves for handling frozen vaccines

Otsuka Techno Corporation (Head Office: Naruto, Tokushima, Japan; President and Representative Director: Kanji Tsukii; "Otsuka Techno"), a subsidiary of Otsuka Pharmaceutical Factory, Inc. (Head Office: Naruto, Tokushima, Japan; President and Representative Director: Shinichi Ogasawara), has launched OT-GLOVE, cold-resistant gloves for handling frozen vaccines in April.

The products are cold-resistant gloves for handling frozen vaccines stored in ultra-low temperature freezers. The inner glove is a built-in type with cold resistance, and the surface of the outer glove is specially processed for easy retention and improved grip. OT-GLOVE is available in M and L sizes, and the material is designed for easy bending of the fingers.

Vaccination for the new coronavirus infection (COVID-19) began in February. With the increase in the number of vaccinated people, handling of vaccines at medical institutions and local governments is expected to increase, and the demand for cold-resistant gloves is expected to rise. By providing this product, we hope to contribute to the smooth implementation of vaccinations for the people by allowing healthcare professionals to handle vaccines with peace of mind.

Otsuka Techno is developing medical products and precision products as its core businesses, utilizing its advanced molding technologies for medical plastic container components. We will continue to contribute to solving social issues through manufacturing.
