Otsuka Pharmaceutical Factory makes capital participation in Frontier Field Inc.

Otsuka Pharmaceutical Factory, Inc. (Head Office: Naruto, Tokushima, Japan; President and Representative Director: Shinichi Ogasawara; "OPF") has acquired an equity stake in Frontier Field, Inc. (Head Office: Minato-ku, Tokyo, Japan; Representative Director, President and CEO: Yasuyuki Sato; "Frontier Field"), which provides Nichibyo Mobile, a smartphone service exclusively for medical institutions.

Even today, many medical institutions still use PHS, paper and FAX for communication among healthcare professionals. However, environmental changes, such as the workstyle reform for doctors, which will take effect in April 2024, are expected to further accelerate efforts at medical institutions to adopt digital transformation (DX) that guarantees a higher level of information security. Against this backdrop, under the corporate vision of "Promoting Digital Transformation at Health Systems by creating an ICT platform for healthcare," Frontier Field provides a smartphone service called Nichibyo Mobile, which realizes DX of healthcare organizations in a secure environment to medical institutions around the country. They also develop and provide applications to promote the workstyle reform in healthcare settings.
