Otsuka Pharmaceutical Factory receives the Mothers Selection Award 2020 for its Oronine^Ⓡ H Ointment

Otsuka Pharmaceutical Factory Inc. (Head Office: Naruto, Tokushima, Japan; President and Representative Director: Shinichi Ogasawara; "OPF") has received the Mothers Selection Award 2020, sponsored by the Japan Mothers Association,^* for its "Oronine_® H Ointment," a treatment of minor skin conditions and injuries. The product is manufactured and distributed by OPF and distributed by Otsuka Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. (Head Office: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo, Japan; President and Representative Director: Makoto Inoue).

The winners of the Mothers Selection Award are selected and commended once a year based on the results of votes from mothers as part of the parenting and maternal support in Japan.

Oronine H Ointment contains chlorhexidine gluconate which has high antibacterial properties, and is effective for treating minor skin conditions and injuries. It is a Category II Drug with 12 indications, including abrasions, minor burns, acne, and chapped skin. In 2020, we have celebrated the 67th anniversary of the Oronine brand, which started with Oronine Ointment in 1953 as the first over-the-counter drug (OTC) by the Otsuka Group.
